Connect Stripe and check events

Stripe sends payment and refund events to Referral Bear. These events let the app calculate commissions for linked customers.

Connect your account

1. Open Integrations and choose Create.
2. Enter your Stripe secret or restricted key.
3. Choose the matching Stripe environment.
4. Save. Check that the account ID and environment are right.
5. Choose Register Stripe webhook.
6. Open Stripe events and check for incoming events.

The key must allow the account, customer, payment, invoice, and webhook operations used by the connection. A key without webhook write access cannot register the endpoint. Saving a key alone does not register a webhook.

Before a payment can earn a commission

The affiliate must be active, the customer must be linked, and a commission flow must match. Follow Install website tracking to join your website customer to their Stripe customer.

Read event status

Open Stripe events. Read the event type, state, attempt count, and error. Fix the cause shown, then choose Retry blocked / failed. Repeated delivery of the same payment does not add another commission.

Stripe is the supported payment connection. Paddle and Chargebee connections are not available. Setup checks with made-up Stripe events do not replace checking your own Stripe account’s deliveries.
