Set up affiliate groups

Groups let you set different signup rules and commission flows for different affiliates.

Create a group

1. Open Affiliate groups and choose Create.
2. Enter a Name and optional Description.
3. Add a Group landing URL if you need one.
4. Choose Signup approval.
5. Choose Save.

Public activates an affiliate when they sign up. Private waits for owner approval.

Approve an application

Open Affiliates, find the applicant, and choose Approve from their Actions menu (three dots). The affiliate can then open their dashboard. Until approval, their portal shows Awaiting approval. They do not need to apply again. Accepting program terms is part of submitting an application; it does not approve the affiliate.

An affiliate who belongs to one program goes straight to that portal after signing in through Affiliate login. Someone with several programs chooses which portal to open. The program names in that chooser identify the companies they joined; the badges describe their access to each program.

Pick the default

Open a group’s Actions menu (three dots) and choose Make default. New portal signups use that group unless the signup URL names a different group. To share a group’s signup page, choose Copy signup URL from the same menu. Changing the default does not move existing affiliates.

Move an affiliate

Open Affiliates and choose Change group from the affiliate’s Actions menu. Choose the new group and save. Check any group-based flows, questions, and notices before you move them.

Share a group discount

Open Coupon codes. Choose One group under Who can share this code?, then select the group. Create a Stripe code, link an existing code, or save its details without syncing.

Active group codes appear only for affiliates in that group. Moving an affiliate changes which group codes they see. A shared code still needs a referral link to identify the affiliate who earned the commission.
