Referral Bear updates commissions when a customer gets a refund.

Stripe refunds

Handle the refund in Stripe. Its signed refund event updates the linked payment and commission reversals in Referral Bear. Check Stripe events if an expected update is missing.

Record an offline refund

1. Return the money using the method that took the payment.
2. Open Transactions.
3. Find the manual payment and choose Record manual refund.
4. Enter the additional amount returned and a reason or reference.
5. Preview the total refund and commission changes.
6. Confirm the record.

Example

A $19.99 payment earned a $4 commission. A $5 refund reverses $1 of that commission. Refunding the remaining $14.99 brings the total reversal to $4.

The form rejects more than the remaining payment amount. It also rejects records that changed since the preview. Manual refund entry supports eligible unpaid manual records, not settled payouts or imported payment history.
